Who: Any incoming fifth grader who is interested in joining orchestra!

What: A fun social event where incoming fifth graders can learn some basic skills on their instrument of choice, play games, meet a few new classmates, eat popsicles, and ask any questions before school starts!

When: Saturday, July 26, 2025. 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Where: Vogel Intermediate Cafeteria

Why: Not only are our fifth graders entering a new school, but they are also embarking on a new musical journey! This is an opportunity for them to meet new friends, reconnect with old friends, and to feel a little more comfortable before the first day of school! Welcome home, Vogel Texans!

FAQ’s

• Who should come? Anyone who is interested in joining orchestra!

• Is this only for people who came to the Instrument Sizing Day? Nope! Even if you did not have a chance to come to the Instrument Sizing Day, please come to Orchestra Camp! We can size you here so you are ready to go when school starts!

• If I came to the Instrument Sizing Day, should I still come? Yes! This will be a time for you to learn some basic skills on the instrument, play games, meet a few of your new classmates, eat some popsicles, and ask any questions you might have before school starts!

• Will there be information on joining orchestra here? Yes! I will be stationed in an information booth in the cafeteria for next steps! 

• Can parents attend? Yes, parents are welcome to stay with their students or drop them off and pick them up at 7:30!

Please keep in mind that the Orchestra Camp is not mandatory to be in orchestra, but it will be a great opportunity to kickstart a great orchestra season!
